- Providing peer counseling about HIV/AIDS, including community resources, risk reduction, HIV antibody testing, and clinical trials;
- Providing individuals and service organizations with a central clearinghouse for current information on the medical, social, and ethical aspects of HIV/AIDS;
- Assisting volunteers and organizations in identifying the needs of people impacted by HIV/AIDS, and in developing and coordinating non-duplicative resources;
- Offering or facilitating direct services in response to unmet needs, and acting as an advocate for people impacted by HIV/AIDS;
- Contributing to development of enlightened, rational, and humane HIV/AIDS-related policies in public and private sectors.
