Every time I hear the word "Tolerance" I hate it more and more!!!

Tolerance is NOT the same as Equality!!  I don't want to be "tolerated", I want to be equal!!!  I don't "tolerate" straight people, I simply accept them for who they are.  I don't "tolerate" people who are different than I am, I simply accept them for who they are ... just like I want to be accepted for who I am.

Have you ever considered how boring the world would be if we were all clones of ourselves?  No different points of view, no different favorite colors, no different favorite foods, I could go on and on ...?  The diversity and uniqueness that exists in our world is exactly what makes us good.  I don't expect anyone to automatically accept my particular point of view on a subject, but I DO expect them to respect that I have my view, just as I respect their view.

There are so many issues that are so much more important than our individual identities ... economy, war, terrorism, jobs, homeless, and the list goes on.  Isn't it time that we all started to work together to make this a better place for all of us.  It's a big world and there's room for us all to live together.  It's time to stop the hate!!!
